Created on the initiative of the GIFAM ( Interprofessional
Grouping of Manufacturers of Domestic Appliances) and of the ADEME
(the French Environment and Energy Management Agency).
The FLAMME VERTE (Green Flame) label concerns inserts, closed fireplaces and wood-burning stoves, mixed or transformable (type C continuous and I intermittent), excluding additional equipment (category A and open fireplaces).
The Flamme Verte Charter lays down safety conditions and
a performance level, with precise labelling, so that the consumer
can choose on the basis of clear information.
As signatories to the Charter, CHEMINEES DE CHAZELLES
undertake to market modern and economical equipment for the French
market, bringing safety and environmental and energy performances.
Les
Inserts, closed fireplaces and mixed or transformable stoves with
a Flamme Verte label help to:
. save energy, with a minimum energy output of 65% (ratio between the energy produced and fuel consumption), . reduce greenhouse gas emissions more specifically carbon dioxide (CO2). . protect our natural environment ADEME
